Make more farms to till the fields for grain, create forges to smelt you bronze, and build lumberyards to harvest and produce timber. These resources enable you to construct buildings, train and outfit your troops, feed your people, and trade with other countries.


Although Sparta: War of Empires heavily sides to base building, troop management is a factor that makes the game fun and challenging. Create your army by first constructing the buildings that house and trains them. You need to make the Hall of Heroes, Infantry Camp, Barracks, Armory, Infirmary, Elysian Agoge, Sanctum of Ares, and Stables. These allow you to train units that will defend and attack you.

Upgrade your General to lead your troops and win battles. You can choose which one you will use and each has its own traits and skills that affect your army. Outfit them with armor and weapons to bolster their combat capabilities and level them up to unlock more of their abilities.

Defend your city-state from attacks coming on all sides and stop them from pillaging your resources and killing your people. Other players will be able to attack your city after the protection of the mighty Itus runs out. But only Archons of the near or same level as you are will be allowed to attack. High-level players cannot make a move against you unless you poke them first. So train your defenders and build fortifications like walls, gates, and towers.
